Our Recent Cooling Tower Refurbishment Project
We were recently commissioned to restore a heavily corroded cooling tower, which had suffered significant internal and external deterioration due to rust and chemical exposure. Both surfaces required extensive preparation before recoating to ensure a durable and long-lasting solution.
The Restoration Process
- Surface Preparation: The first step involved sandblasting the internal and external components of the Cooling Tower. This process effectively removed rust and contaminants, creating a clean and roughened surface for optimal coating adhesion.
- Epoxy Coating Application: Once the surfaces were properly prepared, we applied 3 coats of Amerock 400 a proven high-performance epoxy coating designed to withstand the harsh conditions Cooling Towers endure.
- Final Inspection: After the coating cured, we conducted a thorough quality check to ensure complete coverage and adherence.
